கடந்த 19.05.2023 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை கல்முனை வடக்கு ஆதார வைத்தியசாலையில் நோயாளர் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் சுகாதார தகவல் மையம், என்பியல் விடுதி மற்றும் என்பியல் சத்திர சிகிச்சை கூட பிரிவுகள் புதிதாக திறக்கப்பட்டு பொது மக்களின் பாவனைக்காக கையளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இந்நிகழ்வின் போது சுகாதார அமைச்சின் செயலாளர் கௌரவ திரு. S. ஸ்ரீ சந்திர குப்தா அவர்கள் பிரதம அதிதியாக கலந்து சிறப்பித்திருந்தார். இந்நிகழ்வில் சுகாதார அமைச்சின் அதிகாரிகள், வைத்திய நிபுணர்கள், வைத்தியசாலை உத்தியோகத்தர்கள் ,ஊழியர்கள், வைத்தியசாலையின் அபிவிருத்தி குழுவினர் மற்றும் நலன் விரும்பிகளும் கலந்து சிறப்பித்தனர். இன்று திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்ட நோயாளர் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் சுகாதார தகவல் மையம் இலங்கையில் முதன்முதலாக அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டு ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள ஒரு பிரிவு என்பது குறிப்பிடப்பட வேண்டிய ஒரு விடயமாகும். இந்த பிரிவானது வைத்திய சாலையின் பணிப்பாளர் டாக்டர் இரா முரளீஸ்வரன் அவர்களின் ஆலோசனைப்படி பிரதி பணிப்பாளர் டாக்டர் ஜெ. மதன் அவர்களின் வழிகாட்டலில் ஆரம்பித்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

On Friday 19.05.2023 Patient Safety and Health Information Centre, Orthopedic ward, and Orthopedic theatre were newly opened and handed over for the use of the public at Base Hospital Kalmunai North. During this event the Secretary of the Ministry of Health Honorable Mr. S. Sri Chandra Gupta graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Officials of the Ministry of Health, Consultants, Staff of the hospital, development committee of the hospital, and well-wishers also participated in the event. A point to be noted is that the Patient Safety and Health Information desk inaugurated today is a first-of-its-kind unit in Sri Lanka. This unit is started under the guidance and advice of Director Dr.R. Muraleswaran & Deputy Director Dr. J. Mathan.
This department will provide the following services to the public.
- Patient safety culture
- Involvement and counseling of the patient and his family about the condition of the disease
- Patient health information
- Patients Grievance management
- Organizing donor appreciation
- Arranging bystanders for patients and training for them
- Conflict management
*Death Assistance Service – Hearse arrangements – death certificate procedures.
